Scope and Contents

Accounts of money received by and paid by Dave Boute, mostly from Richard Deere for, among other items, payments for the taxes of Sir Thomas Fairfax, maintenance of the garrisons at Naporte (i.e. Newport, Essex), Pangnett/Ponynett, Huntingdon, Cambridge, and others "in the eastern asotiations," payment for the demolishing of garrisons in order to pay soldiers at their discharge (dated 28 August 1646), and payments for British taxes. A marginal note in another hand concerning "my mothers taxes paid" (presumably a reference to Rose Hale?).
