Scope and Contents note

Includes an original poem "finished in ten minutes" titled "To the Revd. J. Bowles, &c" (i.e. William Lisle Bowles) which Mitford intends for the Gentleman's magazine. First line: "The vernal smile of youth was in its pride."

Followed by a second letter to Mrs. Collier in which he states "Collier's independence is gigantic, monstrous, & antediluvian."
