Note to self: is this in Scots?? ...which might explain why it's slow going figuring out context/content of the letter.

Did find Internet evidence that Edr was used as abbreviation for Edinburgh in this period; clearly there's a Scottish connection.

Maybe return to this one when/if I do full item-level cataloging of letters. too much work at this point.
