Memorandum signed by Richard Hale concerning the copying of deeds, 1576 July 13
Scope and Contents note
Concerns the copying of 191 writings, deeds, and evidences concerning the manor of King's Walden with 12 court rolls "made by Mr. Vallans of Lyncolnes in[n] in the pr[e]sens of Mr. Necton." Also mentions 11 other deeds in the custody of Vallans for which he ought to have "the coppies therof for that they Do make mension of other of my lord[es] land[es]" and "dyvers evydenses" for the lands of Studbury, Lichmore, Flexmere, Charleton.
Endorsed: A note of suche evydenses as I have R[e]s[eive]d of the Lord Burghe the 13 ... July 1576.
