Scope and Contents Discusses estate-related matters: he found no records at Shipe relating to the matters he had asked him to research. Has learned, though, some information about the parsons at Shipe: the old one "did Ryng his beeldes [i.e. bells?]" at Shipe between Christmas and Shrove-tide twenty years before, but "what daye or in what wicke I coulde not vnderstand." Has also learned that the parson before the one mentioned died the week before Christmas twenty years before....
