Refers to will dated July 20, 1617 which contained a bequest to Lady Jane Berkeley's niece Ann Townshend, daughter of Sir John Townshend. Indicates that only Lady Berkeley's servant Richard Mason, who drew the will up witnessed that Lady Berkeley intended an alteration touching her legacy to Ann Townshend.
