Abraham Crawley surrenders unto the hands of the Lord of the manor by the hands of Daniell Day and Francis Godfrey three acres of arable land to the use of Richard Raynor of Hitchin, Hertfordshire. Provision that if Crawley pays £12, 3 shillings and 6 pence to Raynor on January 24, 1676/7, the surrender will be considered void. On leaf 1v, a receipt signed from R. Raynor acknowledging payment from Crawley (by the hands of William Hale) for £12, 3 shillings and 6 pence.
